Trailblazer Fundamental Training Day:

"The Perfect Group for Motorcyclists with Street Riding Experience who want to start Off-Road Adventure Motorcycle Touring."

Welcome to Your Next Adventure: Beginner's Guide to ADV Riding. Embark on a journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional street riding, and dive into the exhilarating world of Adventure (ADV) Riding. Tailored for enthusiasts with street riding experience, our comprehensive program is designed to introduce you to the thrill of off-road motorcycling, combining the spirit of adventure with skillful riding.

Your Adventure Begins Here:

Bring Your Own Street Legal Dual-Sport or Adventure Motorcycle (or) Select Your Perfect Adventure Companion Start by choosing from our selection of beginner-friendly, lower displacement motorcycles, including the agile KTM 390 Adventure, the stylish Triumph Scrambler 400X, and the robust Kawasaki KLR 650 or VERSYS®-X 300. Each bike is handpicked to ensure a smooth transition from pavement to dirt, setting the stage for a journey filled not just with new terrains but with personal growth and enhanced confidence.

Gear Up for the Trails Safety and comfort are paramount. We recommend you bring:

  • A water-resistant or waterproof motorcycle jacket with CE protection.

  • Sturdy riding gloves for flexibility and protection.

  • ADV or MX Motorcycle Boots are recommended, but sturdy leather work-style boots will work for navigating off-road terrains.

  • MX or ADV style riding pants, with or without CE protection, for durability and comfort.

  • A DOT-approved helmet, equipped with a clear visor or goggles. MX style helmets are also welcome.

Note: Currently, we do not offer adventure motorcycle riding gear rentals. Please ensure you're fully equipped for the experience.

Trailblazer Fundamentals Orientation and Skill Building
Your day kicks off with a track-side orientation focusing on goals, riding objectives, and safety protocols on the race track. This initial phase is not just about learning the ropes; it's about embracing a mindset of safety awareness and risk management. You'll learn off-road riding essentials in high-traction environments, including rider positioning, standing riding techniques, and effective body positioning for off-road riding success. This stage of the journey is crucial for building resilience, as it teaches you to adapt and persevere through challenges.

Transition to Off-Road Mastery Post-lunch, we transition to the meticulously designed off-road terrains. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, you'll practice and refine the skills learned, pushing your limits and building a solid foundation of off-road riding techniques. It's here, amidst the challenges and triumphs of navigating new terrains, that you'll truly begin to see the growth in your riding skills and in your ability to make quick, informed decisions.

Experience the Essence of Adventure Camping For the complete ADV experience, opt-in for camping around the scenic Swan Pond, located near turn six of the Blackhawk Farms Raceway. This immersive experience isn't just about learning to pack efficiently; it's about discovering the joy of simplicity and the essence of adventure motorcycle touring. Each evening, as you join us and fellow riders at the communal campfire, you'll find yourself part of a community of like-minded individuals, sharing stories, tips, and laughter, underlining the importance of connections forged on the road.

Reflect, Relax, and Connect As the day concludes, the campfire becomes a nexus of shared experiences and personal achievements. It's here, in the glow of the flames and the camaraderie of fellow adventurers, that the true essence of ADV riding reveals itself—not in the distance covered or the trails conquered, but in the journey of growth, learning, and community.
